Life quest little river10/31/2023 ![]() ![]() Tickets for the show are R25 per person or R20 per person for groups of 10 or more. Little did I know that this would only be the beginning of a glorious season The immediate follow-ups were not particularly encouraging we made 3 more trips where we heard the bird and caught glimpses but nothing more. Written by Brendan Murray and directed by Schoeme Grobler and Rondo Mpiti, the piece features at the back Katlego Mokgwamme (left) and Simbulele Moko, as well as Retha van Rjin (front). Just watching this gorgeous little king was a sight for sore eyes. Together, they fly through space, facing an extraordinary journey to meet the Magicians of Roaring Winds, Pouring Rain and Silent Snow. On this quest, Little Star is assisted by the Bird Who Has No Wings, a witty yet caring character, with a heart of gold. Set in “a world a bit like ours and a bit not”, the story centres around Little Star and her mission to make “time stand still” in order to save her old friend, Ba Gia, from dying. ![]() ![]() The Department of Drama and Theatre at the University of the Free State (UFS) will be presenting its new children’s theatre production, titled How High is Up?, in the Scaena Rehearsal Room on the UFS campus from 11 to 14 September.
